The Ugandan colonel Milton Katarinyebwa, who is leading the fight against LRA in the south-eastern region of Haut-Mbomou, on Tuesday revealed the information, quoting a young girl who had been abducted in 2010 by LRA but who managed to escape in September.
About two weeks ago, the US military advisers based at *OPSEC*in the south-east parts of the Central African Republic, launched an anti-Kony campaign by putting the photos of Kony and his lieutenants on the billboards. The idea was to enable the population to identify them and alert the army incase they are seen in the region.
Since 2011, after President Obama's announcement, the US military advisers were deployed in the south-east parts of the Central African Republic to support the country's army together with that from Uganda in the fight against LRA.
The African Union on its part has formed a regional force with 5,000 soldiers from the four affected countries of Uganda, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) and South Sudan, to help neutralize the rebel group.
